Welcome to Life@Work
Welcome to the October issue of Life@Work.
In this issue, we look at a new and innovative way to manage your incentives programme online, find out about the latest research in the campaign to introduce care vouchers and talk to Tom Russell at Cancer Research about his revamped employee benefits programme.
In our last Quick Poll we asked if you thought it was an employer's duty to help employees quit smoking. Surprisingly, more than half (64.7 per cent) of respondents said they didn't feel it was down to them to step in.
Numerous studies have shown that a healthy workforce is a happier, more productive one. So I'd be interested to hear what practical measures you are taking to encourage employees to look after themselves.
If you are willing to share your views and experiences, email me via editor@accorservices.co.uk. I look forward to hearing from you.

The campaign to introduce care vouchers has moved up a gear with the launch of new research which clearly demonstrates the economic benefits of the proposal.
A report from the London School of Economics predicts that for only £37m investment from government, £83m could be generated for care services. This could pay for an extra 5.5 million hours of home care.
